1. Acceptance of Terms
BarberBook, operated by Muhammad Roman Khan, Karachi, Pakistan ("BarberBook", "we", "us", "our"), provides a barber shop management and appointment booking platform ("the Platform"). By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Platform. These Terms apply to all users, including barber shop owners, staff members, and customers who book appointments. By creating an account or completing a booking, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
2. Description of Service
BarberBook is a SaaS platform that provides barber shop owners and their teams with tools to manage appointments, walk-in queues, staff schedules, services, and customer notifications. Customers may use the platform to discover shops and book appointments without creating an account.
3. Account Registration & Age Requirements
To access dashboard features, you must register for an account using a valid email address or a supported OAuth provider (Google). You must be at least 18 years old to create a business or staff account on BarberBook. Customers may use appointment booking features subject to applicable local laws; however, minors should use the service with the knowledge and consent of a parent or guardian. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information during registration and to keep it up to date.
4. Shop Ownership & Team Members
When you register as a shop owner, you become the administrator of your shop's workspace. You may invite staff members (barbers) to your workspace via email invitation. You are responsible for the actions of all team members under your account. Staff members have limited access as defined by their assigned role. Ownership of a shop cannot be transferred through the Platform at this time.
5. Subscription Plans & Billing
BarberBook offers multiple subscription tiers: Free, Starter, Professional, and Enterprise. Each plan includes different feature limits (staff seats, booking windows, analytics access, etc.). Paid plans are billed on a recurring basis. You authorise us to charge your payment method on file at the start of each billing cycle. Payments are processed securely through our payment provider — BarberBook does not store full card details on its own servers. Subscription fees are generally non-refundable once billed, except where required by applicable law or where BarberBook expressly offers a refund in writing. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice. Downgrading your plan may limit access to certain features or data.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Platform to: (a) violate any applicable law or regulation; (b) impersonate another person or entity; (c) upload or transmit spam, malware, or any harmful content; (d) attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform or its infrastructure; (e) scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the Platform without express written permission; (f) use the Platform to send unsolicited commercial communications. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate this policy.
7. Booking & Appointment Policy
BarberBook facilitates appointments between customers and barber shops. We are not a party to the service agreement between a shop and its customers. Cancellation and rescheduling policies are set by each individual shop. BarberBook is not responsible for service quality, no-shows, disputes, or losses arising from appointments made through the Platform. Customers who book via a guest link acknowledge that their booking details (name, phone, email) will be shared with the relevant shop.
8. Notifications
By providing your phone number or email address during the booking process, you consent to receive transactional messages (appointment confirmations, reminders, queue updates) via WhatsApp and/or email. These messages are sent on behalf of the barber shop, not by BarberBook directly. You may opt out by contacting the shop or using the unsubscribe link in email communications. Standard carrier rates may apply for WhatsApp messages.
9. Intellectual Property
All content, software, branding, and materials on BarberBook are the property of BarberBook and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent. You retain ownership of any content you upload (e.g., shop name, service descriptions, staff information), but grant BarberBook a non-exclusive licence to use that content solely to provide the Platform's services.
10. Data & Privacy
Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Platform, you consent to our collection and use of data as described in the Privacy Policy.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless BarberBook, its officers, employees, contractors, and affiliates from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your misuse of the Platform or violation of these Terms; (b) your shop's services, pricing, or conduct towards customers; (c) any dispute between a barber shop and its customers facilitated through the Platform; or (d) your infringement of any third-party rights.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BarberBook and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Platform. Our total aggregate liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to BarberBook in the 3 months preceding the claim.
13. Disclaimers
The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We do not endorse any barber shop or service listed on the Platform.
14. Force Majeure
BarberBook shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform its obligations resulting from events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to internet or telecommunications outages, third-party service provider failures (e.g., cloud hosting, payment processors, notification services), natural disasters, pandemics, government actions, or power failures. We will make reasonable efforts to restore service as soon as practicable.
15. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from the account settings. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access for legitimate business, security, legal, or policy reasons, with reasonable notice where practicable. In cases of serious violations of these Terms (e.g., fraud, abuse, non-payment), suspension or termination may occur immediately. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases. We may retain certain data as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.
16. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email or an in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
